Why is my DHL package waiting at customs (Zoll)?▾
For inbound shipments, German customs holds parcels worth over 150€ to assess VAT (19%) and possible duty. You'll usually get a postal notice (Benachrichtigung) asking you to pay online via DHL's portal or visit the local Zollamt with your invoice. Until you pay, tracking will show "Sendung beim Zoll".
How can I track a Hermes parcel if the sender did not give me a number?▾
Hermes Germany lets you track by the recipient's postcode plus the order ID from the sending shop on myhermes.de. If neither is available, contact the shop's support — Hermes does not offer phone-number-based lookup like CJ in Korea.
Are Sundays and Feiertage delivery days in Germany?▾
No — Deutsche Post / DHL / Hermes do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays (Feiertage), and Germany has regional holidays that vary by Bundesland. A package landing in the network on Saturday will typically resume movement on Monday morning.
