TheDailyUtils (www.thedailyutils.com) is run by SoSo Family, operated by 13716805 Canada Inc., Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, who collects it, and the choices you have. Questions go to [email protected].
The tools run in your browser. Text you paste, numbers you enter, and files you open (images, PDFs, documents, logs) are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our server. We have no account system and do not ask for your name or email to use a tool.
A few tools do reach other services, and only when you use them:
Some tools keep your settings and history in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time — for example saved alarms, world clock cities, theme (light or dark), favourite symbols, and recent calculations. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like the pages you view, approximate location (city or country, derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and the page that referred you. We use this only in aggregate to decide which tools to improve. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. In connection with those ads:
Where the law requires consent before cookies or personal data are used for advertising or measurement, you are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform when you first visit. Personalised ads and non-essential cookies are used only if you agree, and you can change your choice at any time from the “Privacy and cookie settings” link that the message leaves on the page. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.
The legal basis for analytics and personalised advertising in these regions is your consent. You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold accounts or contact details for visitors, most of this data is held by Google; the controls above act on it directly, and you can also write to us.
The site is served from our own server in Canada through Cloudflare, which provides DNS, encryption and protection against abuse. Like any web server, these systems process your IP address and browser details to deliver the page, and may keep short technical logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply. The form is delivered through the EmailJS email service. We do not add you to mailing lists or share your message with anyone else.
The site is a general-audience tool collection and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Under Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA, and under similar laws in other places (such as California's CCPA), you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. We do not sell personal information. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes, such as a new analytics or advertising provider, will be described here.
