What is the difference between a lap and a split time?
A lap time records the time for each individual segment (the time since the last lap). A split time records the total elapsed time at each checkpoint. Both are shown simultaneously in our stopwatch so you can analyze intervals and cumulative progress.
Does the stopwatch keep running in the background?
Yes, the stopwatch uses timestamps rather than polling, so it remains accurate even if you switch tabs or minimize the browser. The displayed time will be correct when you return to the tab.
