Cropping a photo shouldn't require installing an editor or handing your files over to a website. The Image Cropper lets you trim an image down to exactly the region you want directly in your browser tab — drag the selection box, adjust the corners, and export. It's built for the small, constant need to cut a screenshot down to size, remove a distracting edge from a photo, or reshape an image to fit a specific slot like a profile picture, banner, or thumbnail.
The crop selection can be locked to a preset aspect ratio — square for avatars, 16:9 for video thumbnails, 4:3 or 3:2 for standard photo frames — or left free-form so you can pull the handles to any shape you like. For cases where exact dimensions matter, you can dial in pixel-precise width and height instead of eyeballing the drag. The crop preview updates live as you move the selection, so what you see on screen is what gets exported, and the result downloads as a new image file without touching the original.
Because everything runs client-side, the image never leaves your device — there's no upload step and nothing sits on a server while you work, which matters if you're cropping screenshots that contain personal or sensitive information. A common workflow is cropping a wide screenshot down to just the relevant panel before pasting it into a document or ticket, or squaring off a photo before uploading it somewhere that only accepts 1:1 images. If your source image is unusually large, do the crop first — it also shrinks the file size, since you're only keeping the pixels you actually need.
Select and export a precise region of an image using the Image Cropper.
Drag and drop your image file into the tool, or click to browse and select it from your device.
Pick a preset ratio like 1:1, 16:9, or 4:3 if you need a fixed shape, or leave it free-form to crop any way you like.
Drag the selection box over the part of the image you want to keep, and pull the corner handles to resize it.
If you need a specific size, enter the pixel width and height directly instead of adjusting the box by hand.
Check the live preview to confirm the crop shows exactly the region you intend to keep.
Click export to save the cropped image as a new file to your device.
