Sideways pages usually come from a scanner that fed a page the wrong way or a phone that guessed the orientation wrong. Reading them means tilting your head or rotating the view every time you open the file, and the rotation a PDF viewer applies is not saved — the next person to open it sees the same problem.
This tool writes the rotation into the file itself. It changes a single value in each page's metadata rather than redrawing anything, so it is completely lossless: no quality is lost, the text stays selectable, and a large scan is handled instantly regardless of size.
Rotation is cumulative, which is what you would expect from pressing a rotate button. A page already turned 90 degrees becomes 180 if you rotate it 90 again. You can rotate every page at once or only the ones that came out wrong.
